The Horace Greeley Writers' Guild Attention Writers!
Horace Greeley Writers’ Guild - Tues., May 24, 7
p.m., Tiny Theater, Poultney, Vt. Writers in all genres are invited to attend this
meeting of the Horace Greeley Writers’ Guild. While writing is primarily a solitary act, being
part of a writing group can also be beneficial. The agenda will include a brainstorming session to
discuss ways we can support local writers. Many of our current members have published
extensively and have won numerous awards in various genres, including playwriting, non-fiction,
novels for young readers, poetry, short story, and essay. We will discuss past efforts, works in
progress, and future writing goals. You are invited to bring a short piece of writing to share
if time permits. We will also decide on a regular date, time, and place for future meetings. All
writers, regardless of age or experience, are welcome!

Writers and fans of writing gather several times a year to discuss the craft of writing and to explore different genres. Dates, times, and locations are listed on the website, in The Lakes Region Free Press, and other local papers.
Featured speakers at recent meetings have been a columnist, a composer, a
dramatist, a novelist, and a poet. Evenings usually include some
actual writing and comments, followed by refreshments. Visitors and
people interested in becoming members are welcome to join
us. E-Mails: Burnham.holmes@castleton.edu /David.mook@castleton.edu
